ABSTRACT  To understand the contributions of a raw material storage site for iron ore, coal, limestone, and sinter to ambient air fine particulate matter (PM2.5), concentrations chemical fingerprints resuspended PM2.5 were compared. Investigations done 15 piles materials, including 5 piles, coal 3 stone single pile each coke sinter. Additionally, four sites, A, B, C, D, in surroundings chosen investigate concentrations. The concentrations, compositions, i j values varied significantly by season sites under investigation. showed that water-soluble ions most important component all sites. Specifically, SO42– NO3– predominant winter summer, respectively. dominant components coke, iron, carbon, Ca2+ carbon SO42–, Fe Ca2+, During ranged from 13.7–18.0 µg m–3, where composition ions, metals, accounted 54.2%, 5.7%, 23.7% winter, 44.7–48.0 49.2%, 8.1%, 17.4% From mass balance, main sources D stationary sources, mobile secondary organic aerosols. To effectively address pollution threat associated with site, environmental protection agency should formulate measures reduce contribution dust other PM2.5.
